Beauty & Wonder in The Night Sky: A Winter Solstice Celebration
The Winter Solstice is a celebration of the longest night of the year! We will explore the wonder of this celebration through story telling, drumming and chanting. We are inviting our friends from Northwest UU and 1st UU Detroit to join us as well.
This Ingathering Sunday kicks off the beginning of the year together. Everyone is encouraged to bring water that represents who they are at this moment. Bring all of who you are into this community of care.
Join us and invite your friends to our second annual festival in the parking lot. There will be food and great conversation, as well as yoga, games, crafts, and surprises for all ages. Bring a donation of nonperishable food or household supplies to help stock our Little Free Pantry.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) or Compassionate Communication is a method of connecting with others in a structured way that can improve our interactions, which brings forth greater compassion and peace. This week we will focus on noticing how our judgments can cloud connection and we will learn ways of observing the world around us, changing our perspectives and understanding.
